Island Guitar Store offers a full range of guitar lessons from your first beginning lesson up to a professional level.

All our teachers have many years experience and have super great people skills. Lessons are individual one-at-a-time so full attention can be devoted to each student. Most students take at least one lesson a week – we do have some students that love guitar lessons so much that they choose to take an hour (two lesson spots together) OR two separate lessons a week – showing what I have always known, that the guitar is not just a hobby IT IS AN OBSESSION lol IT IS A WAY OF LIFE !!

Seminars and (optional) recitals provide time and opportunity to play for friends and family and a chance to meet and make friends with your extended musical minded community families.

We cover every style of music from country acoustic to 8 string metal and everything in between.

Island Guitar Store has locations in Key West, Florida serving all the Florida Keys and Dallas, Pennsylvania serving NEPA Wilkes-Barre Scranton Poconos.

We also provide piano, bass and drum lessons. We have ukulele lessons for individuals and groups, even an annual ukulele summer camp for kids (summer camp is at our Key West location ONLY).

Roy Orbison was famous for many songs – but Pretty Woman is one of my favorites – his voice was ONE OF A KIND and his guitar hooks are forever a part of American guitar songwriting. When I first saw this clip I was really young but never forgot seeing it – the big beautiful voice and BIGGER than life opening guitar riff drenched in reverb are now recognizable parts of American Rock’n'Roll culture!
