E minor pentatonic scale “How to example” Jimi Hendrix’s Hey Joe Solo w/ @ Island Guitar & Ukulele Music Store Key West, Dallas NEPA
Wayne Sorbelli here @ Island Guitar Lesson Studio with a nice Made In Mexico MIM Fender Strat HSS (which stands for Hum, single, single, – referring to the guitars pickup configuration of Humbucker @ the bridge, Single Coil in the middle, & Single Coil @ the neck).
I’m using a Dunlop Jazz 3 RED guitar pick playing through an Orange Crush 20 FX w/built in effects, although as usual i’m running real light weight on the effects. I’m using a very slight amount of delay and gain – that’s it.
In this video I started off sticking close to Jimi Hendrix’s guitar solo on his original recorded release of the song, although I let myself stray a little – then a lot, just for fun!! Hope you enjoy and find the example helpful.
I recorded a few different versions of this solo/song using different soloing ideas and techniques – and some different effects and amps. I’m just having some fun & I hope you enjoy – if you have any questions pls contact me – my email is wayne@sorbelli.com

I just got finished setting up the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system on this Ibanez Steve Vai JEM 555 guitar. It plays & sounds killer. It’s a great shred guitar but also has the vintage sound available compliments of the Dimarzio pickups!
I’m going through my little portable Roland Micro Cube Amp (see it sitting on top of my keyboard in the video)
