I don’t just BUY-SELL-TRADE guitars, records, music and Rock’N'Roll Collectables – I PLAY THEM!!! I LOVE playing the guitars I have for sale AND spinning my vinyl collection (or the store’s lol). TODAY I head for the reggae section!
I come from the time (late 1970′s- early 1980′s) when the only way to hear new releases and songs by our favorite artists was to BUY them on record or cassette tape (record ALWAYS sounded better!) By having to buy the full length record instead of just one song (aside from the one or two single releases from a full length album), you would often discover songs that you may have never listened to otherwise – and very often, the tracks on the record that did not make favorite pick at first listen, would later become some of my favorite songs by those artists!

My mind goes straight back to the “early days” when I look through ticket stubs from “The Staircase” lounge in Pittston, Pa when you could see the now multi-platinum selling Breaking Benjamin in a 2000 seat venue, just a few blocks from the original Wayne’s World Music Store LOL! Now you can catch a glimpse back through the music scene in NEPA simply through going through some of my personal stash of “tri-state” ticket stubs, stories, autographs, photos, set lists and kick ass Rock-N-Roll collections in the area from some of the area most known (and totally unknown) venues from Philadelphia’s Electric Factory, to MSG in NYC!!!

Record Store Day (420) April 20, 2013 – Wayne’s World Treasure, Dallas, Pa
Record Store Day is now celebrated the third Saturday every April. April 20, 2013
The original idea for Record Store Day was conceived by Chris Brown. It was founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner as a celebration of the culture and “rock-n-roll” lifestyle surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally.
This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances.
Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, djs spinning records and on and on.
Metallica officially kicked off Record Store Day at Rasputin Music in San Francisco on April 19, 2008 and Record Store Day is now celebrated the third Saturday every April.

I LOVE pirate treasure!! I’ve been following Mel Fisher’s career my entire life and have always been amazed by pirates and especially pirate treasure!
It turns out that Mel Fisher’s Grandson has the same kind of love, but for guitars – so we like to trade with each other – guitar treasures for Mel Fisher’s pirate treasures.
In the photo above I’m wearing a coin that was sunk on the Atocha in 1622 and discovered by Mel Fisher in July 20, 1985.

For quite a few years MAB has been doing clinics for Wayne Sorbelli @ his music stores – and each time, Michael signs a few guitars for the music store, music store employees, and fans alike !! This guitar is his favorite paint job – so he asked to sign this guitar two years in a row (obviously this AWESOME guitar is no longer for sale – it’s a total collectors piece right now) – plus it is one of the best sounding and best playing guitars or instruments on this island!!

Autographed Dean MAB2 Aviator from ISLAND GUITAR on Smather’s Beach, Key West, Florida. It was signed by Michael Angelo Batio, famous for being the world’s fastest guitar player, when he used it to do a guitar clinic at my store! (it’s autographed and dated on the back of the headstock)

Wayne Sorbelli’s musical treasure of trade, a USA Dean Spalt Soltero Guitar handmade in Tampa Florida. Mel Fisher’s Treasure’s item of trade, an 8 Reals, Potosi minted between 1598-1621, silver coin “piece of eight”, mounted in GOLD of course.. The piece of treasure was retrieved from the 1622 sunken ship, the Nuestra Senora de Atocha, just off the coast of Key West, by the late great Mel Fisher in the summer of 1985.
(pictured above) Wayne’s World Treasure guitar on Smather’s Beach, Key West, Florida, is signed by Leslie West of the World Famous Rock Band MOUNTAIN! So I named her the “Mississippi Queen” of Key West LOL!!! (after Leslie West’s best known hit song)
