Led Zeppelin Jimmy Page’s Moby Dick Lesson video (draft) @ Island Guitar Music Studio Key West with Wayne Sorbelli

Wayne Sorbelli here at my Island Guitar Key West Music Lesson & Video Studio. I’m getting ready and running through rough drafts of Led Zeppelin’s EPIC Moby Dick for a lesson request a student requested of me (and pre-paid thank you very VERY much)

I’m doing the main riff using a pick and no slide. I do incorporate the glass picky slide during the drum solo part where normally there is no guitar – making it more like an episode of Whole Lotta Love’s orgasmic middle section and interlude – however I was picturing fishing and hooking on to a Moby Dick type whale where through my playing I was trying to relay my feelings of battling the big one – relating it to my family’s battles and struggles with my little joys blood cancer at the moment. We are fighting things of giant proportions and we love fishing. – so my song about fishing is about catching Moby Dick !! It’s all tensions and release. It’s all the blues in my playing – no matter how rock I try to get lol
I pulled out my old Gibson USA Les Paul 1994 Custom guitar just to get reacquainted lol
I’m playing through a solid state Roland Micro Cube on the Brit Combo amp setting with very little delay on for when I was picking – then cut the delay back to zero but kept the gain on ten for the middle slide trippy part.
Any questions feel free to contact me. Most of the amps and gear I use for videos are for sale. Jsyk.

@ Island Guitar Lesson Studio sliding & picking my Gibson SG to a cover of Freddie King’s “Long Legged Woman” (in a Short Mini Skirt)

I play the blues so that I may not have to live them to the full degree! It puts everything back in balance for me!

In this video I’m sliding & fingering all over a cover of Freddie King’s Big Legged Woman in a SHORT SHORT mini skirt.

I’m playing my newly acquired Gibson USA SG with three Blade pickups and a 6 way control switch through a small 16watt tube amp. Using a Dunlop 202 slide on my pinky. Fingers as weapons – NO POICKS 😃

Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb (first 1st solo) Island Guitar Store Key West Music Lesson Studios

Polishing my David Gilmour Skills on USA Fender Stratocaster 2011 HSS (which stands for humbucker – single coil – single coil pick up configuration). I love to use the whammy bar on a guitar that actually can stay in tune when using the tremolo like it was intended to be used. I tuned up and quickly laid down some Pink Floyd comfortably numb 1st solo (it’s so damn epic) just as an excuse to go to town on the whammy bar! I love a good strat!

“Is My Preschool Child Ready For PIANO Lessons?” “At What Age Can My Child Start Piano Lessons?” “How Do I Know If my Kid Is ready For Piano Lessons?” ANSWERS: LESSON READINESS CHECKLIST

Piano & Keyboard Private 1-on-1 Lessons ALL levels ALL AGES in Key West
Piano & Keyboard Private 1-on-1 Lessons ALL levels ALL AGES in Key West
“Is my preschool child Ready for PIANO lessons?” –  “At What Age Can My Child Start Piano Lessons?” and  “How old does my kid have to be to sign up for Piano Lessons?” are questions we answerer everyday here at our Key West Music Studio in the Kmart Key Plaza across from Radio Shack!!! We hope the LESSON READINESS CHECKLIST in this post helps!!
Island Guitar & Piano Music Lesson Studios wants to ensure that your young child will have a positive and successful music experience.
All children, no matter what their age, are ready for some music exposure. As infants, singing lullabies, playing music movement games and enjoying call-response sing-alongs are among the ways that your infant and toddler can begin to enjoy music with you. Being active with music will encourage your child to be actively involved with music later.
Not all preschool children are ready for piano lessons. Typically, children who are 4 years old are ready for lessons, while children who are 3½ years old may or may not be ready.
Fill out the checksheet below, or you can schedule a time with the keyboard instructor to discuss lesson readiness. If you and your child meet at least 8 of the criteria listed, then your child is most likely ready for piano lessons, will enjoy them and have great success!
If your child is not ready, remember that it is much better to wait and have a good experience later than try to rush things and have a bad musical experience.
LESSON READINESS CHECKLIST
□ Can your child count to 20?
□ Can your child recite the alphabet?
□ Can your child use a pair of scissors?
□ Does your child mostly color within the lines?
□ Can your child sit still for 10 minutes at a time?
□ Does your child’s hand measure 2¼ inches across the large knuckles?
□ Do you have an adjustable bench so that the child can sit with forearms parallel to the keyboard?
□ Has your child asked for piano or music lessons? If so, for how long?
□ Does your child pretend to play piano on objects like tables and sofa arms?
□ Does your child respond to music by dancing or singing with it?
□ Have other teachers remarked about your child’s musical interest and/or ability?
□ Are you ready to practice with your child for 20-30 minutes each day? Preschool children need adult guidance to help them practice. It isn’t until around age 8 that children can be trusted to practice their lesson assignment on their own.
□ Are you ready to commit to the costs of lessons, both in money and in time? Without your support, piano lessons are doomed.

I set the action SUPER light on this 2006 Dean ML  with .09 Ernie Ball guitar strings, then hit the down beat with my glass finger!!!

I burned it up on these super light gauge strings – Drop d tuning with the sixth string soo loooooose it was dripping with tone!!!!!

Took some SUPER light touch with the left hand but I’m getting the hang of it!

It’s one Awesome guitar. I’m sliding with. Dunlop Pyrex “glass” slide and using my ROLAND Amp with spring reverb effect and gain on high.

After I got done fixing the old soldering on this baby I just had to take her for a test drive!
